Acupuncture, Sports Healthcare

Dr. Gelley established the Gelley Chiropractic Clinic in 1993. His clinic is dedicated to providing a non-surgical management of the spine and other musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Gelley is the only chiropractic sports specialist (FCCSS) practicing in Winnipeg. The sports fellowship program is an intensive post-doctoral field of study which includes an academic focus in sports healthcare, practical on-field training, and other related criteria that prepare these elite doctors to serve as experts in the sports health care system.

Accordingly, Dr Gelley is able to apply a sports medicine model of care which integrates spinal manipulation, ART®, acupuncture/myofascial needling, nutrition and rehabilitative exercises to help his patients (athletes and non-athletes alike) achieve optimal health. This integrated approach is based upon the latest research in treatment and exercise protocols.

Dr. Gelley is a strong advocate of patient knowledge and therefore promotes patient education based on the most recent scientific evidence. His quest for knowledge prompted him to undertake a Masters of Science (MSc) in Medical Rehabilitation at the University of Manitoba.

Dr. Gelley has been treating athletes most of his career, ranging from the weekend warrior to elite amateur and professional athletes. Dr. Gelley is currently a service provider to the Canadian Sport Center Manitoba (CSCM) and has provided chiropractic services to local teams as well as the following multi-sport competitions:
